Russell Bedford International Tax & EMEA Conference 2025: Budapest

June 2025

The Russell Bedford International Tax & EMEA Conference 2025 was a huge success, held at the Kempinski Hotel in Budapest, Hungary.

Before the main event, Russell Bedford International CEO Stephen Hamlet, Chair Daniel Ryba, and Associate Director of Network Engagement Kathryn Davis met with our host firm, ICT Európa, following their Partners’ Meeting. This visit was a great opportunity to catch up on the latest developments and discuss plans for the days ahead.

Day one of the conference began with registrations and warm opening remarks from Stephen Hamlet and Daniel Ryba, followed by a welcome address from our host firm, ICT Európa and introductions to the newest firms of our global network.

The programme continued with sessions led by expert speakers, covering the latest developments in international tax and exploring the role of foresight psychology in business. These were followed by panel discussions on strategic priorities for success, how to future-proof your firm, and the challenges and opportunities of leading in the age of AI.

In the evening, delegates enjoyed a dinner cruise along the Danube River – complete with entertainment and stunning views of the Budapest skyline.

Day two opened with sessions focused on business development, followed by workshops exploring practical strategies for growth and a case study exploring tax considerations for cross-border businesses. Delegates also took part in a session on unlocking company core values and discussions on navigating tax reliefs for succession planning.

Later in the day, we turned our attention to the transformative role of AI in business and an insightful discussion on the evolving future of ESG and modern solutions for today’s new challenges.

To close the conference, delegates gathered for a memorable evening at the Halászbástya Restaurant, located inside Budapest’s iconic Fisherman’s Bastion where they enjoyed dinner and drinks and the stunning views of the Danube River.

“This year’s International Tax & EMEA Conference has been a great success – a fantastic opportunity for our firms to come together again to gain insights on the latest in international tax, form successful strategies for business development and enhance their offerings with renewed deliberation whilst embracing the latest innovations in AI and looking to the future of ESG.” - Stephen Hamlet, CEO of Russell Bedford International.
